I Have No Regrets Being Single and Childless at 40 – Toke Makinwa
Renowned Nigerian media personality and entrepreneur Toke Makinwa has opened up about embracing her life as a single, childless woman at 40, stating that she has no regrets. Rather than dwelling on societal expectations or missed opportunities, she chooses to focus on the present and live without the burden of regret. Speaking in a new episode of her YouTube show, Toke Moments, released recently, Makinwa emphasized the emotional toll of living in regret and why she has chosen to free herself from it. "Regret is so exhausting," she shared. "Make today the last day you allow yourself to live in regrets. Whatever happened, happened. Maybe you could have done better, but at that time, you didn’t know better. Now you do—so do better and move on." Reflecting on her journey, Makinwa, who celebrated her 40th birthday in 2024, explained that she now sees life through a different lens and refuses to let societal pressures dictate her happiness. She also addressed the deep-rooted expectations placed on women to marry and have children, admitting that while it was once a sensitive topic for her, she has now fully come to terms with her reality. Her message serves as a powerful reminder that fulfillment is not defined by societal norms but by personal acceptance and growth. By choosing to live on her own terms, Makinwa continues to inspire others to embrace their own unique paths without regret.

Honey Berry, the baby mama of controversial Nigerian singer Portable, has raised serious allegations against him, claiming that he has been making threats against her. She publicly warned that if anything were to happen to her or their son, Portable should be held accountable. The dispute escalated on social media after Honey Berry shared a screenshot of a conversation with the singer, in which he allegedly demanded access to their child after being absent from his life for two years. In the chat, Portable reportedly issued a stern warning, insisting that she bring their son to him or face the consequences. His words appeared threatening: "Bring my son before I make life unbearable for you. Hope you have a lawyer? I haven’t seen my son for two years now. Feeling threatened by his remarks, Honey Berry took to Instagram to respond, making it clear that she would not tolerate intimidation. "I consider this a threat. You’ve made it clear that you want nothing to do with me and my son. If you don’t want misfortune in your life, never threaten me again. Chloe Bailey Fuels Burna Boy Breakup Rumors with Cryptic Lyrics
American singer Chloe Bailey has set social media abuzz with speculation about a possible breakup with Nigerian Afro-fusion star Burna Boy. Fans began piecing together clues after the songstress shared a cryptic music cover on Instagram, seemingly hinting at heartbreak and betrayal. The emotionally charged lyrics appeared to throw subtle jabs at an ex, leading many to believe she was referencing Burna Boy. The timing of her post further fueled the rumors, as it followed a controversy involving Burna Boy and Nigerian socialite Sophia Egbueje. Reports claim Sophia publicly accused the singer of failing to fulfill an alleged promise to buy her a Lamborghini in exchange for a one-night stand. Adding to the speculation, Chloe Bailey unfollowed Burna Boy on Instagram shortly after the controversy surfaced, a move fans interpreted as confirmation of their rumored split. The lyrics of her Instagram cover further hinted at feelings of betrayal and wasted time: "I don’t know about the other girls you used to deal with, but I do not need to buy a man to give me love to lay with, no. "You are not even worth it, got me out here looking crazy. I should not have ignored all the signs. You wasted all my time, I know you are gonna miss all of the times we had shared. There is only one Chloe in the world, and no other woman can compare." While neither Chloe nor Burna Boy has publicly addressed the rumors, the singer’s cryptic lyrics and social media actions have left fans convinced that a breakup is in the air. Whether intentional or coincidental, Chloe’s words have sparked heated discussions online, with many eager to see if either party will confirm or deny the speculation.

HOW I Almost Lost My Life" – Actress Bambam Opens Up About Near Fatal Childbirth Experience
Reality TV star and actress Bamike Olawunmi, popularly known as Bambam, has shared the terrifying ordeal she faced while giving birth to her first child. In a candid conversation on the Me & My Girls podcast, she revealed how childbirth nearly claimed both her life and that of her daughter, Zendaya. Bambam, who welcomed Zendaya with her husband, Teddy A, in 2020, described the experience as nothing short of traumatic. She recounted how, during labor, her body began to shut down—a situation that could have ended in tragedy. "A lot of stillbirths happen because of negligence," she stated. "Sometimes it's the doctor not being competent, the nurse delaying action, or even the parents arriving at the hospital too late." Recalling the severity of her condition, she revealed, "During my first labor, my kidney failed, my heart was weak, and my liver was shutting down. My baby had already detached from the placenta. If I had arrived at the hospital just a second later, she would have lost oxygen, and I would have had a stillbirth." The near-death experience left her deeply shaken, and the psychological toll was overwhelming. "Every time I look at her, I ask myself, ‘What if?’ Those thoughts tormented me. The fear, the anxiety—it haunted me for a long time. I had to seek therapy to help me shift my focus to gratitude." Bambam’s story sheds light on the dangers many women face during childbirth and the importance of timely medical intervention. Her courage in speaking out serves as a reminder of both the fragility of life and the resilience of motherhood.

How Mohbad died after I treated him, nurse opens up in court
Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, revealed that he started vomiting after she administered a tetanus injection. Testifying before Justice C.A. Shotobi at the Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, on Friday, Ogedengbe stated that she had stepped out to get additional medical supplies when she was informed that Mohbad had begun convulsing. She recounted that after receiving the tetanus shot, Mohbad developed goosebumps—a reaction his wife, Omowunmi, described as typical for him. Ogedengbe explained that on September 12, 2024, she was called by Ayobami Sodiq (also known as Spending) to treat the rapper. Upon arriving at Mohbad’s Lekki residence around 2:30 pm, she observed a swollen cut on his right hand. She administered the tetanus injection to his upper arm and, after noting that he had an ulcer, opted for paracetamol instead of diclofenac. She further stated that she injected him with 4ml of paracetamol diluted with 1ml of water, as well as a slow 10ml dose of ceftriaxone to combat a bacterial infection. Upon arriving at Mohbad’s Lekki residence around 2:30 pm, the nurse observed a swollen cut on his right hand. She stated that she administered a tetanus injection to his upper arm and, after confirming he had an ulcer, opted for paracetamol instead of diclofenac. According to her, she then injected 4ml of paracetamol diluted with 1ml of water, followed by a slow 10ml dose of ceftriaxone to treat a bacterial infection. She added that as she administered the ceftriaxone, Mohbad began to feel discomfort and got up to vomit. “After vomiting in the toilet, he returned to the room and sat on the floor, where I noticed the goosebumps on his body. “I showed his wife (Omowunmi) the reaction, and she said it was his normal response to injections,” Ogedengbe stated. She explained that there were four people in the room, including Mohbad, his wife, and Ayobami when the injection was given. Ogedengbe stated that she then asked Omowunmi why she had not mentioned that Mohbad usually reacted that way to injections. “Omowunmi then took Mohbad to the bathroom and began pouring water on his head,” she narrated. Realising the seriousness of the situation, the nurse stated that she and Ayobami rushed to a pharmacy to find medication for the allergic reaction, but they faced delays at the first pharmacy. She stated, “After visiting another pharmacy and obtaining the necessary hydrocortisone injection and normal saline infusion, we returned to find Mohbad outside the house. By then, preparations were underway to take him to the hospital. “Due to a lack of available vehicles and heavy traffic, Mohbad was transported to the hospital on a motorcycle, where he was later declared dead on arrival by the medical team.” She recalled that when they finally got to the hospital, the medical personnel initially hesitated to treat him, causing some confusion. Ogedengbe stated that Mohbad’s body was returned to the house around 8 pm, while they proceeded to the Orchid Lekki Police Station to obtain a death certificate. Following police inquiries, they were directed to the Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah for a report. After being cross-examined by the counsel for Mohbad’s family, Dr. Wahab Shittu, SAN; Omowunmi’s counsel, Kabir Akingbolu; and the state’s legal representative, the case was adjourned to Friday, March 21, 2024, for further hearing. In February 2025, the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions, at a Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, announced that Ogedengbe and Sodiq would be prosecuted for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. Meanwhile, the court acquitted popular musician Abdulazeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, along with music promoter Samson Balogun (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.
