In the early hours of Saturday, a group of individuals carrying weapons invaded the Mashafa area of Mpape in Abuja, which is located in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to our correspondent, at least four residents were kidnapped by the gunmen during an hour-long operation.
One of the residents, who preferred to be called Zack, informed our correspondent that the armed men specifically targeted certain individuals in the community.
Zack recounted, “In the early hours of the morning, around 1 am, armed individuals arrived equipped with advanced weapons. The deafening sound of gunfire persisted for approximately an hour. The selected targets of the kidnappers became apparent as they systematically entered each victim’s residence to abduct them. Among those taken were an Executive Officer of a logistics company, a manager of a prominent bakery, a Manager of an Oil dump company, and a worker from a construction company.”
Our correspondent reached out to the FCT spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, who assured them of a response. However, as of the time of this report, she had not yet followed through.
