According to Dele Alake, the spokesperson for the Federal government, they will thoroughly assess the feasibility of the demands put forth by the Trade Union Congress (TUC). After a three-hour meeting between the Federal Government and the TUC, Alake stated that the government will also examine the practicality of the demands.
One of the aspects under consideration by the government is the provision of tax holidays for workers. Alake emphasized that President Bola Tinubu will form a tripartite committee consisting of representatives from the states, organized labor, and the private sector.
