……..Assures constituents of innocence, vows to continue serving despite challenges
Delta State – In a strongly worded statement, Hon. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, the representative of Isoko Federal Constituency, refuted claims of his business premises and properties being sealed in Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Isoko. He labeled the reports as false and misleading, stating that they were the result of desperate political blackmail by his opponents.
Addressing the concerns raised in various online news media, including Sahara Reporters, via his Facebook page, Hon. Ukodhiko expressed confidence in the innocence of his position. He assured the public that he is not under any criminal investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) or any other law enforcement agency.
Denying the authenticity of the purported ex parte Marava order that led to the sealing, Hon. Ukodhiko alleged that it was a civil action carried out by an overzealous individual motivated and sponsored by his political detractors. He emphasized that the order was not a forfeiture or a conviction in any court of law and that the EFCC, Nigerian AGIP Oil Company Limited, and certain banks were also parties to the action.
Furthermore, Hon. Ukodhiko revealed that the individuals responsible for the sealing were not employees of the EFCC but rather an overzealous staff member of the Federal High Court and hired thugs, orchestrated by his opponents. Assuring that his legal team was actively involved in the matter, he confirmed that they had filed necessary motions to challenge the ex parte marava motion and would take appropriate legal action against those involved.
Appealing to his supporters and the constituents of the Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Ukodhiko urged them to disregard the publications entirely, emphasizing their falsity. He expressed gratitude to those who had reached out to him personally regarding the issue.
Concluding the statement, Hon. Ukodhiko reassured his constituents that he would not be deterred from fulfilling his mandate of providing quality representation. With the Tenth Assembly set to be inaugurated in a few days, he pledged to remain focused on serving the people diligently.
Hon. Ukodhiko expressed gratitude for the support received and signed off the statement by conveying blessings to all.
