President Bola Tinubu’s request to appoint 20 Special Advisers has been approved by the Senate. The President’s letter, which was read by Senate President Senator Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday, did not provide the names of the appointed advisers.
Following the reading of the President’s letter, the Senate swiftly granted approval for the request. Senator Lawan emphasized the urgency of the matter, stating that it is crucial for the President to have his team in place.
This development occurred shortly after Tinubu announced the appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila, the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives, as his Chief of Staff, and Senator George Akume, former Minister of Special Duties, as his Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
