On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu conducted the swearing-in ceremony of Senator George Akume as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including the governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hycent Alia, several current and former governors such as Tanko Almakura from Nasarawa state, and the previous SGF, Boss Mustapha. Also present were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Dr FolasadeYemi-Esan, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, and Mrs Regina Akume, the spouse of the newly appointed SGF.
