According to reports, Chelsea have initiated discussions with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a potential summer transfer for Neymar. The Brazilian footballer might be on the brink of departing the Ligue 1 champions, especially with the imminent departure of his friend and teammate, Lionel Messi. Neymar had a challenging season with the French club, as he suffered an ankle injury in February, which prematurely ended his campaign.
In his 29 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain, the 32-year-old managed to score 18 goals and provide 17 assists. This underwhelming performance has further fueled the dissatisfaction of PSG fans, who expected more from Neymar and have criticized him accordingly. While it was previously reported that Manchester United and Newcastle were interested in bringing him to England, Chelsea is now the most recent club to express their desire to secure his services.
