Kanu’s Lawyer Appeals To Tinubu, Seeks Medical Care For IPOB Leader

Aloy Ejimakor, the special counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has made an appeal to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to intervene with the Department of State Service (DSS) and allow Kanu to receive independent medical treatment. Ejimakor expressed this plea in a tweet, emphasizing the urgent need for medical care for Kanu’s ear. In a previous tweet, the lawyer stated that he had encountered significant obstacles in arranging proper medical care for Kanu, with the secret service preventing it from happening. Alongside the tweet, Ejimakor attached a letter he personally signed, dated June 6, addressed to the Director-General of the DSS. The letter served as an introduction and accreditation for two doctors selected by Kanu’s family to examine his medical records, which were generated by the DSS medical unit. The letter specified that the doctors, Uche Ukwuije, a consultant Otolaryngologist, and David Ukoha, a family physician, were scheduled to visit the DSS headquarters in Abuja at 2 p.m. on the same day, accompanied by Kanu’s brother, Emmanuel.
