In spite of Cristiano Ronaldo’s remarkable goal-scoring record for Al-Nassr, he has been excluded from the Saudi Pro League team of the season. Nigerian striker Jude Ighalo has taken the forefront position instead.
Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or recipient, concluded the season as the league’s fifth highest goal scorer with 14 goals.
However, when it came to selecting the league’s Team of the Season, the renowned sports statistics experts at OPTA decided not to include Ronaldo.
Instead, Odion Ighalo, formerly of Manchester United and currently playing for Al Hilal, leads the attacking line due to his impressive performance of 19 goals in 27 games.
