Al Ahly Secures a Historic 11th CAF Champions League Title


On Sunday, Al Ahly of Egypt showed great resilience by equalizing after conceding a goal, resulting in a 1-1 draw with Wydad Athletic Club in Casablanca.

This remarkable performance secured Al Ahly their 11th TotalEnergies CAF Champions League title, setting a new record. Mohamed Abdelmoneim, an Egyptian international, scored a crucial header in the 78th minute, giving Al Ahly the advantage.

The Red Devils emerged victorious with a 3-2 aggregate score, having previously won the first leg 2-1 at home in Cairo the previous weekend.
