Jibrin Barau, the senator-elect from Kano South, has been elected as the Deputy President of the Senate without any opposition.
His nomination was made by David Umahi, the former Governor of Ebonyi State.
Salisu Mustapha, a member-elect from Kwara North, endorsed the nomination.
Barau accepted the nomination and was subsequently elected as the Deputy Senate President of the 10th Assembly without facing any opposition.
According to Waffi TV’s report on Tuesday, Godswill Akpabio was elected as the Senate President.
