On Tuesday, Guinness World Records declared Hilda Baci as the latest individual to achieve the longest cooking record.
The 26-year-old chef from Nigeria embarked on her culinary feat from Thursday, May 11, and persisted until Monday, May 15. Over the course of four days, she managed to cook more than 100 pots of food.
The GWR in a statement on its website, said, “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”
Hilda originally aimed for a record of 100 hours, but due to a minor error during one of her early rest breaks, approximately seven hours were subtracted from her final duration.
