The Department of State Services (DSS) is currently interrogating Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), regarding his actions within the anti-corruption agency. Dr. Peter Afunanya, the spokesperson for the DSS, confirmed Bawa’s invitation and presence at the DSS headquarters for the investigation.
In a statement sent to Waffi TV, Dr. Afunanya stated that the invitation was issued by the DSS due to certain investigative matters involving Bawa. This questioning of the EFCC chairman occurred shortly after his indefinite suspension from the position by the President.
The statement said: “The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
