On Monday, President Bola Tinubu will have a meeting at the State House in Abuja with Aliko Dangote, the President of the Dangote Group, and Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft. This information was shared by Dangote after a private discussion with Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa on Friday.
Dangote informed the media at the State House that their visit to the President on Monday would be alongside Bill Gates, who is a close friend of his and the co-founder of Microsoft.
“I did not come to do much. I only came to inform the President about our visit with Microsoft co-founder and my friend, Bill Gates. We will both see the President on Monday when we come together.” he said.
However, the specific purpose of this visit was not disclosed by Dangote. It is believed that this visit is part of Tinubu’s ongoing consultations with influential leaders from the local and global business community.
During his inaugural speech on May 29, Tinubu expressed his commitment to addressing the concerns raised by both local and foreign investors regarding issues such as multiple taxation and obstacles to investment. Tinubu assured investors and foreign businesses that he would work towards enabling the repatriation of their dividends and profits back to their home countries.
