In Monday’s Euro 2024 qualifiers against Greece, France captain Kylian Mbappe accomplished a historic feat. He scored the lone goal of the match, leading France to a 1-0 victory at the Stade de France.

Mbappe’s goal against Greece has now made him the all-time leading scorer for France in a single season, surpassing the legendary Just Fontaine’s record from 1958. This remarkable achievement marks Mbappe’s 54th goal of the season.

The 24-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward successfully converted his second penalty attempt, securing the win for France against Greece. Additionally, this goal contributes to his overall tally of 40 goals for the France national team in 70 appearances.

With their fourth consecutive victory in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, Les Bleus have taken a commanding position in their pursuit to secure a spot in the European Championships hosted by Germany.
