Omo-Agege Didn’t Work Against Tinubu, Ojougboh Did- Delta APC

The APC called upon the president to disregard the verbal attacks from Cairo Ojougboh, a former party member, and his group of critics.

By Johnson Atoukudu:

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted claims that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege opposed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s candidacy in the 2023 state election. Instead, the party asserted that Cairo Ojougbo and a group of detractors were the ones who worked against the president.

According to Valentine Onojeghuo, the Publicity Secretary of Delta State APC, Ojougbo and his associates were engaged in attempts to deceive the national executive committee and the presidential campaign council throughout the campaign period.

Onojeghuo noted, “They were also busy at home taking active steps in undermining the prospect of the party in Delta State by openly collaborating with the opposition to defeat APC candidates in the various state and national elections.”

“So far, the only notable contribution of Cairo Ojougboh and his group, is to be caught on videography and photographs joining members of the opposition to celebrate the electoral losses of the party in the state”

The APC called upon the president to disregard the verbal attacks from Cairo Ojougboh, a former party member, and his group of critics.

The statement added, “They are unnecessary distractions to your onerous task of nation building ahead.”
