Police Will Be Accountable To You- Acting IG tells Nigerians

He emphasized the importance of working together to build trust, restore confidence in law enforcement institutions, and create a safe Nigeria where every citizen can thrive.

During the ongoing handing/taking over ceremony at Louis Edet, the Acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, emphasized the commitment of the Force to achieving excellence and accountability for the Nigerian people.

He reassured Nigerians of his preparedness to ensure sufficient security with the support of other security agencies.

“The Nigeria Police Force will strive for excellence, transparency, and accountability. We will also include a technology-driven approach to leveraging other techniques to ensure effective and efficient of resources,” he said.

“We will provide support structures for police officers that would cater for their physical, and psychological needs. We will introduce programmes to strengthen the minds; hearts of every officer.”

In his call for collaboration, the Acting Inspector General of Police urged all Nigerians to join hands with the Force on its transformative journey. He emphasized the importance of working together to build trust, restore confidence in law enforcement institutions, and create a safe Nigeria where every citizen can thrive.
