The appointment of Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar as the Chief of Air Staff has been confirmed. The President, Bola Tinubu, made an official announcement on Monday regarding the retirement and subsequent replacement of the service chiefs.
Abubakar now holds the position of the 22nd Chief of Air Staff. During the handing and taking over ceremony on Thursday, the former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oludayo Amao, expressed his satisfaction with the accomplishments achieved during his tenure, despite the challenges faced.
Amao encouraged his successor to strive for even greater achievements and ensure the continued progress of the service.
