In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori praised Dame Nkem Okwuofu, who transitioned from being a nurse to a politician, for her unwavering dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the progress and unity of both the state and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Governor Oborevwori praised Okwuofu as a reliable patriot, astute administrator, and accomplished leader, whose invaluable contributions, particularly to Delta State and its citizens, will always be remembered.
“As a respected mother and septugenarian, you have lived a life of impact as an accomplished nurse and later as commissioner in several ministries since you joined politics decades ago.
“You have indeed shown humility and commitment to service, culminating in the several victories our party, the PDP recorded in all elections in the state and your native Aniocha North Local Government Area.
‘’You have contributed immensely to the growth and development of your community Obomkpa and attracted several infrastructure to your people, especially the Obomkpa Ukwu-Nzu Road and erosion control projects around that corridor.
“On this special day of your 73rd birth anniversary, I join your family to thank Almighty God for His guidance, protection and provision and pray for good health and more years of greater service to God and humanity,” Oborevwori stated.
