The mouthpiece of the state police, DSP Bright Edafe, wey confam dis tori give City Round for Asaba, talk say the command don recover one pump-action gun and six live cartridges for inside one bag wey dem abandon.
Edafe talk say, “On Thursday, June 22, 2023, our people for ‘B’ Division, Warri, wey DPO na SP Bolarinwa Alabi, bin respond to one call wey talk say armed robbers dey operate for Ugborikoko/Giwa-Amu Airport Road.
“The boys wey be robbers bin dey inside black Toyota Corolla car wey never register; as our team reach there, dem start to shoot our people, but our people shoot back.
“Dem exchange heavy gunfire, and for the process, three of the boys wey be robbers die, but other members of their gang run comot with bullet wound.”
Edafe talk say the boys wey get wound die before dem fit carry dem go hospital.
