Andre Onana, the goalkeeper for Inter Milan, is on the verge of joining Manchester United during this summer’s transfer window.
Manchester United has taken decisive action in pursuit of Onana and is aiming to secure his signature with a £43 million deal.
The prominent Premier League club is actively seeking a new goalkeeper for the upcoming season due to uncertainties surrounding David de Gea’s future at Old Trafford.
Despite receiving a contract renewal offer at significantly reduced terms, which was anticipated to be accepted, De Gea has not yet committed and now has a substantially more lucrative proposal from Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, De Gea is aware that Manchester United intends to recruit a new goalkeeper even if he does extend his contract, as his position as the club’s number one is no longer guaranteed.
Nonetheless, according to Sport Mediaset, Onana is making significant progress and is nearing a reunion with his former manager, Erik Ten Hag, at Manchester United.
