On Saturday, a boat capsized in Calabar, resulting in the disappearance of three students. However, the bodies of the two male and one female student have now been found and recovered. The Commissioner of Police for the state, Gyogon Grimah, shared this information on Monday in Calabar.
He said since the boat accident occurred, “the police have been working day and night to rescue the missing students.”
Grimah expressed his appreciation for the local community’s dedication in retrieving the bodies of the students.
A group of medical students had traveled to Calabar for a medical students’ games event. On Saturday, they embarked on a boat cruise at Marina Resort, which tragically resulted in the boat overturning. Out of the group, eleven students were successfully rescued, but the bodies of the three missing students were found and retrieved on Monday.
