Policmen from Delta State Police Command don kill the person wey dey keep weapon for one bad gang during dem raid on top criminal hideouts for the state.
During the operation, police recover one AK-47 rifle and three magazines from the person wey don die on June 23, 2023, for Warri town.
On the day wey the thing happen, dem talk say the Divisional Police Officer, ‘A’ Division Warri, CSP T.Y Mahmud, na him lead the police people wey dey for that division, as dem get order from the Commissioner of Police, Wale Abass, to DPOs and Area Commanders to clean their areas make criminals no fit get comfort for the state.
Based on the information wey dem get, the DPO and him team around 06.45pm, raid the hideouts of one criminal gang wey dey along Stadium Road, Warri, where dem nab the suspect.
After dem interrogate am, he confess say he be member and person wey dey keep weapon for the ‘Bobone’ armed robbery gang wey dey terrorize Warri and the place around am.
He still give the police more tori about where dem gang members dey hide, and later he lead the police go the hideouts wey dey along Chevron Road. But as the police people dey approach the hideouts, the gang members come attack dem seriously.
Dem talk say the suspect, when he wan run comot for the kasala, e wound for him leg wey stop am from escape.
As him gang members run comot with gunshot wound, dem carry the wounded suspect go hospital, but na there he die as dem dey treat am.
DSP Bright Edafe, wey be the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirm the matter and talk say dem don start manhunt to find the gang members wey run comot.
