Former CDS Irabor Retires From Military Service

The former Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor (retd), has officially retired from the Armed Forces of Nigeria. He concluded his service at a ceremony held at the Mogadishu Cantonment, Asokoro, Abuja, on Friday.

The retirement ceremony follows the military tradition of paying tribute to retiring generals. The event included a march past by the officers of the Nigerian Army, among other activities.

Distinguished guests in attendance at the ceremony included former Chiefs of Defence, Army, Navy, and Air Staff, among others.

General Irabor was appointed as the Chief of Defence Staff in January 2021 and retired alongside other military officials on June 19. His retirement came after President Bola Tinubu appointed new service chiefs.
