….reviewing the case file provided by the police, which established a prima facie case against Yunusa-Ari.
By John Ambrose:
The suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Adamawa State, Hudu Yunusa-Ari, is facing a six-count charge filed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). This legal action was taken by INEC at the high court in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
In a statement released on Thursday, INEC stated that it initiated these charges after carefully reviewing the case file provided by the police, which established a prima facie case against Yunusa-Ari.
Yunusa-Ari was arrested by the police for his alleged actions during the governorship election in Adamawa State. He was subsequently granted administrative bail but required to report to the headquarters of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) on a daily basis from Monday to Friday.
