GWR: Chef Adeola Completes 150-Hour Cook-A-Thon, To Continue Cooking

Adeyeye Adeola Blessing has successfully completed a cooking marathon in Ondo State, aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours set by Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef based in Ondo. The marathon, named “Deocookathon,” began on June 30th and took place at TMF Lounge and Bar in Ile Oluji, Ondo State.

Celebrating the milestone of 150 cooking hours, Chef Adeola expressed her determination to continue even after reaching her initial goal through an Instagram post.

Posting a graphic design of her cooking marathon with the inscription “150 hours and still counting” She wrote, “The journey was rough but we pulled through”.

Throughout the cooking marathon, Chef Adeola received visits from notable individuals who came to show their support, including the Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa (popularly known as ‘Wale Ajangamoo’), Hon. Festus Adefiranye (member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo & Odigbo Federal Constituency), and Hon. Nelson Akinsuroju (member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency), among others.

It is worth noting that Chef Adeola’s attempt follows the recent announcement by Guinness World Records recognizing Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

It is important to mention that Chef Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, completed a 120-hour cooking marathon in Ekiti State a couple of weeks ago. However, this attempt was not officially acknowledged by Guinness World Records as it was not registered with them.
