On Sunday, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate Majority Leader, provided an explanation stating that the National Assembly passed the 2022 supplementary budget on Friday. The purpose of this budget is to allow President Bola Tinubu to offer relief measures to Nigerians to mitigate the impact of fuel subsidy removal and address the country’s economic challenges.
Senator Bamidele, who represents Ekiti Central Senatorial District, revealed that a specific amount of funds has been allocated to complete projects in various states of the country. Notably, 4 billion naira has been set aside for road projects in Ekiti state.
Bamidele made these remarks in Ikogosi Ekiti over the weekend, following a church service held at the First Baptist Church to celebrate the 90th birthday of the governor’s father, Pa Ezekiel Olakunle Oyebanji.
Furthermore, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, expressed his satisfaction with the accomplishments achieved by the state through the 2022 supplementary budget passed by the National Assembly on Friday.
Governor Oyebanji and his wife, Olayemi, described Pa Oyebanji as a selfless and devout individual who dedicated his life to serving others and the community.
