On Wednesday morning, during a raid, a man in Utah who was being investigated for threats against US President Joe Biden was fatally shot by FBI agents. The man’s identity remains undisclosed. According to Salt Lake City’s NBC television affiliate KSL, FBI agents tried to enter a residence in Provo. The investigation commenced in April, and ABC News was informed by anonymous officials that the Secret Service was notified in June.
It was concluded by investigators that the man’s threats of causing physical harm were deemed credible.
“The incident began when special agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants at a residence,” an FBI spokesperson told KSL.
“The subject is deceased. The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously,” the spokesperson added.
