The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has expressed its support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its economic policies. IPAC Chairman Yabagi Sani conveyed this during an interview with reporters following a meeting with Vice-President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday.
Sani clarified that despite differing political affiliations, the council acknowledges the present administration’s efforts in addressing the nation’s challenges. Following a cordial exchange, the meeting continued in private, and shortly thereafter, the IPAC chairman briefed the media on the purpose of their visit.
In addition, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North, attributed the country’s economic situation to the preceding administration.
The Vice President emphasized that the Tinubu administration remains dedicated to enhancing democracy in the country, urging all Nigerians to collaborate in nurturing the nation’s democratic values.
“Ours is a young nation, a young democracy and there has to be a sense of belonging, a sense of inclusivity by all component units in the federation,” Shettima was quoted in a statement by the Director Information, Office of the Vice President, Olusola Abiola.
“The beauty of democracy is that it is about inclusivity, it is about give and take and as such the Tinubu administration is strongly committed to deepening our democratic values.”
