In Okuokoko community, a tragic incident unfolded around 7:30 pm last Friday at the Jesu-Ovie junction. Regrettably, a man known as “Baba” lost his life and another individual was injured when a white Lexus, involved in a hit and run, struck Baba as he was crossing the road, resulting in a severe head injury.
Additionally, the hit and run incident caused harm to another person who was exiting their parked vehicle on the roadside.
This injured individual has been promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention.
The President-General of the Okuokoko community, Evang. Believe Otatohwoma, expressed deep sorrow over this unfortunate event, considering it a significant loss to both the deceased’s family and the entire community.
