Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Olorogun Lucky Oghene-Omoru, a distinguished finance expert and seasoned politician, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, which falls on August 22.
The Governor, in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, on Tuesday in Asaba, commended Oghene-Omoru’s remarkable contributions to the growth and unity of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the development of both Delta and Edo States.
The Governor specifically praised Oghene-Omoru for his significant role as the inaugural Director-General of the Delta State Investment Development Agency (DIDA), where he displayed exceptional dedication in attracting investments to the state.
He further highlighted Oghene-Omoru’s notable accomplishments during his tenure as a two-time Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives, and Tourism, followed by his role as Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning in the erstwhile Bendel State, all achieved at the remarkable age of 33. These achievements, Governor Oborevwori noted, are evident and commendable in their positive impact on the development of Delta and Edo States.
He said: “As a renowned finance expert and political colossus with amiable disposition, you have remained ever supportive and a great leader and mentor to many members of our party and we appreciate you for your profound and unpretentious loyalty to the PDP.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Delta, I heartily rejoice with a reputable and reliable professional, Olorogun Lucky Oghene-Omoru, as he celebrates his 70th birth anniversary.
“As you attain this landmark birth anniversary, I am pleased to join your family, political associates and other well-wishers in thanking God for blessing you with strength and wisdom to serve the people of Delta and Nigeria.
“It is our prayer that God will continue to protect you and grant you good health to render more services to Him and our people.”
