To commemorate the 32nd anniversary of Delta State’s creation, the Delta State Government has extended an invitation to both the general public and residents of the state. They are invited to attend an inter-denominational thanksgiving service, which will take place at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter’s (Anglican Communion) in Asaba.
According to a statement released by Dr. Kingsley Emu, the Secretary to the State Government, the thanksgiving service is scheduled to commence promptly at 10 am on Sunday, August 27, 2023.
It is worth noting that Delta State was created on August 27, 1991, during General Ibrahim Babangida’s administration. Now, after 32 years, the people of Delta State reflect on this milestone with gratitude towards God for granting their longstanding desire to have a state of their own.
