Tinubu Appoints Ogbuku, NDDC MD, Ebie, Board Chairman, Others

President Bola Tinubu has granted his approval for the appointment of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, hailing from Bayelsa State, as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), alongside Mr. Chiedu Ebie from Delta State, who is named as the Chairman of the Commission’s Board.

Furthermore, the President has given the green light to the appointment of other individuals to serve on the Board and in the management of the NDDC. This announcement, disclosed by Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity in Abuja on Tuesday, takes immediate effect.

Among the notable appointees are Mr. Boma Iyaye, selected as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration from Rivers State, Mr. Victor Antai, chosen as the Executive Director of Projects from Akwa-Ibom, and Ifedayo Abegunde, appointed as the Executive Director of Corporate Services from Ondo.

Additionally, the composition of the new management and Board includes Senator Dimaro Denyanbofa, representing Bayelsa State, Mr. Abasi Ndikan Nkono, representing Akwa Ibom State, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, representing Delta State, Chief Tony Okocha, representing Rivers State, and Hon. Patrick Aisowieren, representing Edo State.

Mr. Kyrian Uchegbu is the representative for Imo State on the Board, Victor Kolade Akinjo represents Ondo State, Chief Dimgba Eruba represents Abia State, and Mr. Asu Oku Okang represents Cross River State.

The North Central Zone is represented by Hon. Nick Wende, the North East by Hon. Namdas Abdulrazak, and the North West by Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir.

According to the statement, “The President expects that the new Board and Management team will ensure a new era of successful administration in the NDDC, in line with his Renewed Hope agenda.”
