The Peoples Democratic Party, along with its presidential candidate during the February 25, 2023, presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, will hold a press conference today.
This follows the dismissal of Atiku’s case by the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld President Bola Tinubu’s victory.
Atiku, along with Peter Obi of the Labour Party, rejected the tribunal’s decision and plans to challenge it at the Supreme Court. Atiku’s Lead Counsel, Chris Uche, expressed the intention to file an appeal at the Supreme Court, stating that they believe justice has not been served.
The PEPT, comprising a five-member panel, unanimously upheld Tinubu’s win in the February 25 presidential election. In response, Atiku and the PDP’s Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Damagun, will address the media at the NEC Hall in the PDP National Headquarters at 2:30 pm.
The invite sent to journalists by the party’s National Director of Publicity read, “Hello Gentlemen of the Press, good evening.
“This is to invite you to a press briefing to be addressed by the Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagun and PDP Presidential Candidate, H.E. Atiku Abubakar, GCON.”
