A 43-year-old teacher named Joshua Olufemi, employed at the Heritage Group of Schools in Ofada Town, within the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, has been accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old male student.
It has been reported that Olufemi allegedly engaged in this misconduct on multiple occasions, involving the student’s anus, within his own room.
According to an anonymous source, the student’s mother, Stella, was informed by her son about the teacher’s illicit actions during lesson hours, which took place on the teacher’s bed.
Olufemi, who previously taught Mathematics at the junior secondary school and Further Mathematics at the senior secondary school levels within the Heritage Group of Schools, was apprehended by the police following these allegations.
The concerned mother reported the incident to the Owode Egba Divisional Police Station, prompting an investigation into the matter. Odutola Omolola, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the suspect’s arrest and stated that an ongoing investigation aims to uncover further details about the teacher’s behaviour.
