The Lagos State Police have apprehended rapper Naira Marley in connection with the passing of his former signee, Mohbad. Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this information in a tweet.
Naira Marley is anticipated to cooperate with the police in their inquiry into MohBad’s demise.
The tweet reads, “Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities”.
Remember that the singer had pledged to come back to Nigeria to vindicate himself and contribute to the investigation into his former protege’s passing.
“I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation,” he tweeted on Tuesday.
“It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”
