On Monday, the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba returned a 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe, to custody. She had been arrested by the police in connection with the controversial death of the hip hop artiste, Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad. Allegedly, the nurse administered injections to the late singer that led to his demise.
Furthermore, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ordered that Ayobani Sadiq, a friend of Mohbad who was also a suspect in the case, should be sent back to police custody. However, the magistrate granted bail in the amount of N20 million to Mohbad’s former boss, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry. They were both implicated in Mohbad’s death and taken into police custody on October 6.
The police have stated that the investigation into the case is still ongoing, leading Olatunbosun to adjourn the case until November 29 for advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
