The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that it will commence online ticket sales for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023 on November 11.
A statement posted on the CAF website on Thursday revealed their goal of attracting football enthusiasts from across the African continent and beyond to this prestigious football event.
“Sales will go online on Nov. 11, with the first phase open exclusively for VISA payment card holders.
“Two days later, thus Nov. 13, public sales will go live on the platform.
“You can acquire your tickets by visiting http://tickets.cafonline.com/AFCON.
This step has been taken to enable fans to secure their tickets well in advance for the tournament scheduled from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
The federation has introduced a dedicated, fully operational, and user-friendly platform on the CAF website, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for those interested in attending.
Veron Mosengo-Omba, CAF General Secretary, emphasized the federation’s dedication to providing access to thousands of football fans who plan to journey to Cote d’Ivoire to witness the event.
“Online tickets will enhance ticketing experience for fans of African football and the general public.
“The support from the stakeholders has been great and we are hopeful of meeting the increasing demands of the fans and the general public,” he said.
It was announced that 25% of the tickets allocated for the group stage will be available during this sales phase, allowing fans to secure their seats for the 34th edition of the biennial football extravaganza.
Ticket prices are as follows: 5000 FCFA (approximately 8 US Dollars) for Category Three (3), 10000 FCFA (approximately 16 US Dollars) for Category Two (2), and 15000 FCFA (approximately 24 US Dollars).
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase group stage tickets, with a maximum of six tickets per household.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has reported that the African football tournament is set to commence in the Ivorian cities of Abidjan, Bouake, Korhogo, San Pedro, and Yamoussoukro from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
