IGP Kayode Egbetokun has directed the reassignment of 40 Senior Police Officers, including 14 Assistant Inspectors General of Police and 26 Commissioners of Police, to various Commands and Formations across the country. According to Force Public Relations Officer ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, this move is part of an effort to establish a more professionally competent, service-oriented, rule of law compliant, and community-friendly Police Force.
Additionally, it aims to recognize the recent promotions of these senior officers to their higher ranks.
