Just a month after the start of a fierce conflict between the Israeli military and Hamas militants, Israel has agreed to implement daily four-hour ceasefires in the northern Gaza strip, as announced by the White House. John Kirby, spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, mentioned that a three-hour advance notice will precede each announcement.
He said: “We’ve been told by the Israelis that there will be no military operations in these areas throughout the pause and that this process is starting today.”
Waffi TV recalls that on October 7, 2023, an armed conflict between Israel and Hamas-led Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip escalated, following the latter’s multi-pronged invasion of Southern Israel.
Reports indicate that since October 7, at least 10,812 Palestinians have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip as a result of the ongoing war.
