A purported ballot box snatcher attempting to disrupt the voting process in Kogi State’s Anyigba local government area was fatally shot last Saturday. As of the report filing, the victim’s identity and affiliated political party remained unknown.
The circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether security agents or miscreants were responsible for the shooting, remained unclear. The Transition Monitoring Group (TMG) provided this information via its X account on Saturday morning.
“An alleged leading political party thug was gunned down in Anyigba LGA, Kogi State in an attempt to disrupt the election by snatching the ballot box,” TMG wrote.
