A group of community youths in Imo State reportedly roughed up a police officer who was accused of snatching election materials at a polling unit.
The officer, part of a team associated with an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ikeduru Local Government Area, allegedly carried out the act on the politician’s orders at the Amakohia Ikeduru Collation Center, where the APC faced defeat.
While some managed to escape, the community youths apprehended one of the officers.
