Mr. George Sibo, a middle-aged man and avid supporter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), reportedly lost his life in a tragic incident at the INEC office in Twon-Brass.
The attack occurred during the submission of results for some wards in Constituency 2 at the Governorship Election Collation Centre, Brass Local Government Area headquarters.
Condemning the act, lawmaker Daniel Charles expressed dismay at the killing and urged security agencies to promptly arrest and prosecute those responsible for this heinous act. Known as “Kobo-Kobo,” the deceased was an indigene of Twon-Brass and served as an aide to the Brass Local Government Chairman, Hanson Alabo-Karika.
The state police command spokesperson, Asinim Butswat, stated, “I’m awaiting details from the Area Commander Brass” when contacted about the incident.
