Manchester City faced disappointment in their clash against Chelsea as Cole Palmer’s 95th-minute penalty secured a 4-4 draw.
Despite City leading multiple times, Palmer, a former city player, haunted them with the equalizing goal.
The controversial lead, established by Erling Haaland’s penalty, was short-lived as Chelsea, under Mauricio Pochettino, showcased resilience. The back-and-forth continued, with goals from Thiago Silva, Reece James, Raheem Sterling, Manuel Akanji, and Haaland.
City seemed to secure victory with Rodri’s deflected effort, but Ruben Dias’ late penalty conceded allowed Chelsea to salvage a point.
The draw places City just one point ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal at the top of the table, while Chelsea inches back into the top half. Despite the comeback, Pochettino’s team remains 10 points away from the top four.
