The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has resumed the collation of outcomes for the Bayelsa State governorship poll held on November 11, 2023.
The collation, which resumed at 12:42 on Monday, occurred approximately 48 hours after the election in the oil-rich South-South state. Currently, Governor Douye Diri from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured victories in five out of the eight local government areas, while Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has clinched two LGAs.
