On Wednesday, Manchester City announced a second consecutive year of breaking their own revenue and profit records after a triumphant 2022-2023 season where they secured a treble.
The club reported a staggering £712.8 million in revenues for the financial year that ended on June 30, 2023, setting a new benchmark in the Premier League, surpassing the previous record set by their local rivals, Manchester United, of £648.4 million established in October.
Manchester City’s turnover experienced a significant increase, rising by £99.8 million from £613 million in the previous year.
Under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, the club achieved a remarkable profit of £80.4 million, nearly doubling the previous year’s record of £41.7 million.
Their commercial, broadcast, and match-day revenue streams witnessed substantial growth year-on-year, attributable to their historic success in the 2022/23 season where they clinched the FA Cup, Premier League, and UEFA Champions League titles.
