The Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, distributed Settlement Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Scheme benefits totaling N2.276,110,966.80 to 613 families of deceased police officers during an event at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
These funds, comprising contributions from both the federal government for the Life Assurance Scheme and the Nigeria Police Force for the IGP family welfare scheme, were handed over through cheques.
Egbetokun urged the recipients to utilize the money for the betterment of the families left behind by the departed officers, emphasizing that this act reflects the NPF’s commitment to supporting the families during their daily challenges and expressing condolences for their loss.
