The Nigerian Navy Ship BEECROFT apprehended an 18-year-old boy and three others who were stowaways aboard the container vessel TEME EXPRESS destined for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as disclosed in a statement released on Wednesday by H. A. Collins, the Base Information Officer for NNS BEECROFT.
Michael Daniel, 18, from Ondo State; Ebi Agrive, 22, from Bayelsa State; Lucky Amusu, 23, from Lagos State; and Goodness Edu, 28, from Akwa Ibom State, were identified among the stowaways. Commodore Kolawole Oguntuga, the Commander of NNS BEECROFT, mentioned that the apprehension took place on November 13 following intelligence gathered from the Maritime Domain Awareness Facility.
The statement read in part, “The NNS BEECROFT patrol team, while on a routine patrol, successfully extracted and apprehended some individuals on Monday, November 13, onboard a container vessel TEME EXPRESS, which was en route to Dubai.
“The tactical teams were dispatched to the vessel at the Lagos Anchorage, the sequel to receiving information from the Maritime Domain Awareness Facility, the Falcon Eye Alignment.”
