Google has declared its intention to permanently remove unused Gmail accounts starting December 1. According to a recent blog post by Google, an account will be considered inactive if there’s been no login or activity for a period of two years.
“Google products reserve the right to delete your data when your account has not been used for a 2-year period.
“Due to this policy, December 1, 2023 is the earliest a Google Account will be deleted,” it said.
This policy solely pertains to individual/personal accounts. The tech company defines activities such as logging in, utilizing Google Drive, reading or sending emails, watching YouTube videos, downloading apps, searching, and sharing photos as actions that constitute activity.
