Liverpool Fly In Diaz’s Freed Parents For Christmas

Liverpool has brought Luis Diaz’s parents from Colombia to England for Christmas following their distressing kidnapping ordeal by the ELN guerilla group.

Diaz’s father was held captive for 12 days before being released, while his mother was rescued shortly after their abduction on October 28.

After reuniting with his parents upon returning to Colombia for international duty, the Liverpool forward scored both goals in a remarkable 2-1 victory against Brazil in World Cup qualifying.

To ensure their well-being, Liverpool arranged a private flight for Diaz’s parents and extended family to spend the holidays in Merseyside.

Diaz will later join them in England after fulfilling his duties in Colombia’s World Cup qualifier against Paraguay. Upon Liverpool’s return from the international break, they face a demanding schedule of 11 matches between November 25 and January 1.
